How to create departments with different Approvers

You can use Xero Tracking Categories with tracking options for this purpose.

This is how it works:

  • First, create a Tracking Category in Xero: a department with tracking options such as Production, Marketing, Sales, etc.

  • Then, sync this Tracking Category to ApprovalMax

  • Next, assign each tracking option to an Approver in the workflow

Please note: If you change the Tracking Categories/Tracking options in Xero, they will not be automatically updated in the approval matrix. You'll need to update it manually.
