How does syncing a budget with QuickBooks Online work?

This is how you sync a budget from QuickBooks Online to ApprovalMax

  1. First, the Administrator needs to enable budget syncing from QuickBooks Online.
    To do so, select your Organisation in the main menu and open Budget Checking:​


    Click on and enable budget syncing:​

  2. Click on SYNC NOW:


    Available budgets will be shown in a list.​

  3. ​To start Budget Checking, you'll need to activate a budget.

  4. Hover over the respective budget, click on and select "Activate the budget":​

  5. You can also deactivate a budget this way:​



    Or, disable the budget syncing with QuickBooks Online at any time:​
