Does ApprovalMax support integration with Xero Practice Manager?

Yes, ApprovalMax supports integration with Xero Practice Manager.
This feature allows for Partners to pull data from XPM (Staff Members, Clients) and add them to their Practice Staff in ApprovalMax.


Where is it located?

Upon opening the Practice Staff page, there will be a “Connect to XPM” button.



After the connection, there are two options available in the menu:

  1. Disconnect (from XPM)

  2. Refresh the Users list (this triggers the update of data for both Staff Members and Clients)


Who can pull data from Xero Practice Manager?

The Account Owner and Managers (users added with the role of Practice Staff Manager) of the Practice Staff has access to the synchronization with Xero Practice Manager. If the users are already added to the Practice Staff, they appear greyed out.




Why am I unable to connect?

If the XPM entity is already connected to another Practice – ApprovalMax returns an error: “This XPM entity is already connected to another ApprovalMax Practice Staff“


Invitation to Practice Staff

XPM Staff Members can’t be added without invitation – selected user is invited right away if one isn’t already a part of other Account.

User can be added as Manager/Member only to one Practice Staff.


Removing users from Practice Staff

Account Owner/Practice Staff Manager has the possibility to remove the user from the Practice Staff.

If a user is removed from XPM, this is visible in the Practice Staff page:
