An Organisation Administrator who is not the owner of the account that contains these Organisations can request the transfer of such Organisations from the Account Owner. Besides, an Account Owner can start the transfer of Organisations that belong to their account.
This is how the Administrator of an Organisation can request a transfer
Please note: If you are not an Administrator/have not been invited to the Organisation, you will not be able to request a transfer. You'll need to get invited to this Organisation and have the Administrator role assigned to you first.
On the Organisations tab, click on Transfer in the upper right-hand corner:
In the pop-up window, select one or multiple Organisations and click on TRANSFER:
Now, enter the email address of the new Organisation Owner, tick the confirmation checkboxes and click on TRANSFER ORGANISATIONS:
Next, choose whether your workflow roles should also be transferred to the new Organisation Owner by ticking the checkbox for each Organisation. Once selected, click on CONFIRM:
Finally, review the summary message explaining how workflow roles will be handled if the transfer is rejected. If you’d like to provide context or additional details for the new Organisation Owner or Support team, enter a comment in the text box. When everything looks correct, click on CONFIRM to submit the Organisation transfer request for processing:
You, the Account Owner and the new Organisation Owner will receive an email about the Organisation transfer that has been requested:
The current Account Owner will see the information on transferred Organisations under the Transfers tab on the Billing & Subscriptions page and can cancel or allow the transfer:
If the current Account Owner cancels a transfer, they need to provide a comment before clicking on CANCEL THE ORGANISATIONS TRANSFER:
All parties will be notified by email that the Organisation transfer was cancelled:
To complete the transfer, the new Organisation Owner will see the incoming transfer request under the Transfers tab in their Billing & Subscriptions settings. They can click on ACCEPT to complete the transfer or choose CANCEL TRANSFER if they do not wish to take ownership:
After accepting the transfer, the new Organisation Owner decides how to proceed with the Organisation’s subscription: keep the Organisation as a trial (if a trial Organisation is transferred), buy a new subscription, add it to an existing one or upgrade a subscription. Then confirm the transfer by clicking on ACCEPT TRANSFER:
The Organisation transfer process will be finalised and all parties will receive a confirmation email:
