A passkey is a new type of authentication method that aims to replace passwords. It uses a combination of hardware and software to create a secure and more user-friendly login experience.
Passkeys rely on strong cryptographic methods and biometric authentication, making them significantly more secure than traditional passwords.
This is how you set up a passkey
Open My profile under your avatar:
In the Security section of My profile, click on the SETUP button next to "Passkeys and security keys":
Follow the instructions on your device.
Your browser will show you the available options, which depend on the browser/device you're using.
The most commonly used options are:
Windows Hello/iCloud Keychain
Your mobile device
Your browser profile
A password manager that supports passkeys
An external security key
Click on EDIT to rename your passkey:
Click on Save:
This is how you delete a passkey
Click on the Delete button next to the respective passkey if you want to remove that passkey from ApprovalMax:
Click on Yes, Delete it, to confirm if you want to remove that passkey from ApprovalMax:
Please note: If you delete a passkey from your device/browser, you will no longer be able to use it with ApprovalMax, even though this passkey will still be visible in ApprovalMax.
