When going on holiday or being on sick leave, for instance, you can activate Out of Office and set a start date for it. The Substitute you specify there will handle requests submitted for your approval while you're away to ensure a smooth workflow and continuity.
Please note:
It is not possible to loop Substitutes
Substitutes cannot set a Substitute for themselves
Reviewer rules are also inherited
This is how you set up Out of Office:
In the top right-hand corner, click on your avatar and select "Out of Office":
In the pop-up, you can add a Substitute for each of the Organisations you are involved in, a start/end date and a time zone for the substitution period:
When done, click on SET A SUBSTITUTE to apply your changes.
Specifying a substitution period is optional; if set, it includes both the start and end date. By default, the original Approver's time zone is applied.
Once a Substitute has been named, the original Approver won't be notified about pending approvals. If the Substitute is removed before they have authorised all requests, the original Approver will receive notifications about those that are still waiting for approval.
Please note: The Substitute won't see requests approved by the original Approver.
