What is the Watcher functionality? (QuickBooks Online)

The Watcher functionality in ApprovalMax keeps users with this role informed about specific approval requests within the system so that they can closely monitor them. When a user is assigned as a Watcher to a request, they will receive notifications and updates regarding the progress and status of its approvals, even if they are not directly involved in the authorisation process.

The Watcher functionality comes with the following features:

1. Notifications: Watchers receive notifications by email when significant events occur regarding the requests they are watching. This includes approvals/rejections, post-approval changes, decision reworks, comments, and the marking of Purchase Orders as Billed/Bills as Paid.

2. Visibility: Watchers can track the progress of the approvals they are monitoring within ApprovalMax. They can see the current status, comments made, and any other relevant information related to such requests.

3. Observation: Although Watchers are not actively participating in the authorisation, they can observe a request's processing to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the approval process.

The Watcher functionality provides visibility and enables users who need to stay up-to-date on particular approval requests to engage, without the need for any direct involvement.
