What are classes and locations used for?

In QuickBooks Online, you can set up classes and locations to see how the various areas of your business are performing (such as departments, distribution channels, different services and products).

In ApprovalMax, you can use QuickBooks Online classes and locations to split responsibilities between Approvers. To achieve this, assign classes and locations to the respective Approvers in the approval matrix.
  1. In the main menu select your Organisation and open "Approval workflows" page under "Workflows and settings" section. 
  2. Select the respective workflow:
  3. Open approval matrix and define conditional Approvers in the approval matrix.



  1. With QuickBooks Online classes and locations you can also split responsibilities between Requesters. To achieve this, assign classes and locations to the respective Requesters in the Requesters matrix:
