Stripe Billing in ApprovalMax

UK and ZA Customers
We recently introduced some changes to the billing methods.
When new or existing customers buy a new subscription/upgrade a subscription, they will now get billed by our new payment provider, 
Stripe.

Depending on the billing country, which is selected during the purchase process, ApprovalMax offers different options.

The available payment methods are:

  1. Credit/Debit Card
  2. Direct Debit = BACS (supported only for UK customers)

This is how it works in the product:

Credit card:

  1. On the main page, click on your Avatar in the upper right-hand corner and open Billing & Subscriptions:

  2. On the Billing & Subscriptions page, under the Organisations tab, click on BUY A SUBSCRIPTION next to your Organisation:


  3. In the pop-up window, select one of the countries (ZA or UK) and the corresponding billing currency:


  4. Decide on the billing cycle and plan, and select the Organisations that will be added to this subscription*.You can increase the number of allowed Organisations if needed. Then select the payment type Credit Card and proceed to checkout powered by Stripe:

NotesPlease note: an Organisation which is not connected to an accounting system (Xero or QuickBooks Online) can only be part of a Premium plan.
  1. Fill in the billing details and click on BUY NOW:


    If you have a VAT/Tax number, please enter it here. If you don’t have one, do tick the checkbox I Do Not Have A VAT Number.

  2. Enter your card details, tick the checkbox to accept the ApprovalMax terms of service and EULA, and click on BUY NOW.
NotesPlease note: ApprovalMax does not hold/read your credit card information, your card is processed solely through Stripe.


  1. You’ll then see a message saying that ApprovalMax is processing your order:


  2. Finally, the subscription will be created, and the Organisations put on the purchased subscription. This screen shows the next billing date, all bound Organisations and the payment method. You can also upgrade your subscription and change your billing address or payment method here:



Direct debit:

  1. On the main page, click on your Avatar in the upper right-hand corner and open Billing & Subscriptions:  



  2. On the Billing & Subscriptions page, under the Organisations tab, click on BUY A SUBSCRIPTION next to your Organisation:


  3. In the pop-up window, select United Kingdom and the corresponding billing currency:


  4. Decide on a billing cycle and plan, and select the Organisations that will be added to this subscription*.You can increase the number of allowed Organisations if needed. Then select the payment type Direct Debit and proceed to checkout powered by Stripe:


  5. Enter your payment details to set up a BACS Direct Debit. Then click on Set Up A Direct Debit:


  6. Confirm your direct debit details by clicking on the Confirm button:


  7. You’ll then see a message saying that ApprovalMax is processing your order:


  8. Finally, the subscription will be created, and the Organisations put on the purchased subscription.

EU, AU, NZ customers
