Parallel and sequential approvals in QuickBooks Online
ApprovalMax supports both parallel and sequential approvals for documents.
- Set up parallel approvals if you have several Approvers in one step and want either any or all of them to make an approval decision.
- Set up sequential approvals if you have Approvers from different departments.
To set up parallel approvals, add several Approvers to the same step. Then decide whether you want any or all of them to approve before the document can move on to the next step. In the illustration below, the selected approval condition "All" determines that all Approvers have to approve:
To set up sequential approvals, add the Approvers in several steps. The document moves on to the next step (and next Approver) once the Approver in the previous step has approved:
