You can upload any budget file to ApprovalMax. However, accounts should be taken from your Xero Organisation.
Here, you'll find a template .CSV file from a demo organisation.
You can manually adjust it with your Xero accounts/months.
The account should be in the first column and is mandatory. You must use the account name followed by the account number in brackets, for example, “Interest Income (230)”
The month is in the first row in the MMM-YYYY format (e.g. “Jan-2025”)
Budget numbers
Both positive and negative numbers are imported
0 is treated as no value
Non-numbers are ignored
Please note: it's recommended to download .CSV budget files or sync budgets from your Xero organisation.
