Login with my alternative method if I lost the Authenticator

How can I log in with my alternative method if I lost access to the Authenticator?

If you've lost access to your Authenticator, you can use the alternative 2FA option for verification: either the code sent to your alternative email address, or the backup codes generated during the initial 2FA setup process.

This is how it works
  1. Log in to ApprovalMax with your password:

  2. If 2FA is turned on for your account, you will be asked to enter the 2FA code from the Authenticator.
Click on USE ANOTHER AUTHENTICATOR METHOD if you can't access the Authenticator:

  3. As an alternative option for logging in you can use either the previously generated backup codes, or the preset alternative email address.

    1. Login with your alternative email address:
      1. Select "Alternative email address" and click on PROCEED:

      2. The code will be sent to the alternative email address which you specified during the 2FA setup:

      3. Copy this code and paste it into the Verification Code field, then click on CONFIRM:

    2. Login with a backup code:
      1. Select "Backup code" as the alternative option and click on PROCEED:

      2. Open your backup codes, copy-paste one which hasn't already been used into the Backup Code field, then click on CONFIRM:

After a successful login, it is recommended to reset your 2FA to regain access to the Authenticator.
