Only the person nominated as the Wallet Owner during the onboarding process must complete full external verification. This involves filling in the verification form, uploading an ID document and taking a selfie while holding the ID.
Business Owners are required to fill in the verification form and provide an ID document.
Any additional Directors (those not acting as a Wallet Owner) only need to complete the verification form. If necessary, an authorised person can complete this step on their behalf.
Here’s how the process works
Directors and Business Owners will receive an email inviting them to complete the verification.
Click on Submit KYB details to open the secure verification form:
Please note: If the person acting as Wallet Owner and Director, and their ApprovalMax account email matches the one entered in the verification form, the entire KYB process can be completed directly within ApprovalMax.
Depending on your role, the number of steps required will vary:
Wallet Owner: steps 1–3
Business Owners: steps 1 and 2
Directors (not Wallet Owner): step 1 only
Verification Step 1 - personal information
Provide personal details and click on NEXT:
Verification Step 2 - upload an ID document
Select the document type from the list (e.g. passport, state ID, driving licence, biometric ID or visa) and upload a colour photo or scan of the document. Then click on NEXT:
Verification Step 3 – upload a selfie with your ID
Take a photo of yourself holding the same ID document you provided in the previous step.
Make sure both your face and the document are clearly visible:
Please note: Step 3 is only relevant for the Wallet Owner, not other Directors or Business owners.
Once all applicable sections are complete, click on SUBMIT. You’ll see a confirmation message when your form has been successfully submitted:
After clicking on DONE you’ll be redirected to ApprovalMax.
