Attaching files in ApprovalMax

You can attach files during the creation of requests in ApprovalMax. However, some technical limitations apply - depending on the accounting system and document type.

Xero

Applies to:

  • Sales Invoices

  • Purchase Orders

  • Quotes

  • Bills

  • Manual Journals

  • AP Credit Notes

  • AR Credit Notes

  • Contacts

Supported file types: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .tiff, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .odf, .csv, .txt, .rtf, .eml, .msg, .ods, .odt, .keynote, .key, .pages-tef, .pages, .numbers-tef, .numbers, .zip, .rar, .zipx, .xzip, .7z

Max. file size: 10 MB

Max. number of files: 9

QuickBooks Online

Applies to:

  • Purchase Orders

  • Expenses

  • Bills

  • Journal Entries

  • Sales Invoices

Stand-alone

For all stand-alone requests:

Here are the basic rules for attaching documents in the comment section of a request, regardless of the accounting system:

Supported file types: .bmp, .numbers, .rtf, .csv, .odf, .rtf, .text, .doc, .ods, .tif, .docx, .odt, .tiff, .eml, .pages, .txt, .gif, .pdf, .xls, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .xlsx, .ppt, .zip, .keynote, .pptx, .7z, .msg, .rar

Max. number of files: 10

ApprovalMax Capture

For any files uploaded via ApprovalMax Capture, regardless of the accounting system:

Supported file types: .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .tif, .tiff

Max. file size: 10 MB

Max. number of files: 9

Please note: All files will be checked by antivirus software. All unsupported symbols will be automatically changed to supported symbols.
