Organisation Administrators can copy rules between users in the following matrices:
Requester matrix – for copying rules between Requesters
Approval matrix – for copying rules between Approvers
Review and Coding matrix – for copying rules between Reviewers
Editing matrix – for copying field editing permissions between Approvers/Editors
The process is the same across all matrices and for all accounting platforms. Rules can be copied within the same step, or between different steps in the same workflow.
This is how you copy rules from one user to another
In the main menu, go to your Organisation and open Approval workflows under Workflows and settings:
Open the approval workflow in which you want to copy rules.
Select the relevant workflow step and click on the Matrix icon (e.g. Requester matrix, approval matrix, Editing Matrix or Review and Coding matrix):
In the matrix, click on the Three-dot icon next to the user whose rules you want to copy and select "Copy rule to user":
Select the users and steps where the rules should be copied to:
To add a new user to the matrix, click first on ADD AN APPROVER, then enter their email address on click on ADD A USER:
Please note: If you add a user in the "Step 2: Choose users & steps to copy to" window but do not tick the checkbox next to this user to copy rules, they will be added to the matrix without any restrictions.
When all users are selected, click on COPY to complete the process. The rules from the previously specified user will now be replicated to all selected users.
Please note: Copied rules will overwrite the existing rules in the Requester/Approver/Editor/Reviewer matrix.
Please note: Auto-Approval rules cannot be copied.
