How can I mention other users in a request?
In the Comments section of any request – irrespective of its status – you can mention other users from your Organisation: type the @ sign and select a user from the drop-down field.
You can also search for other users by their username or email address.
Clicking on @mention will display a pop-up window with some basic user information:
If a user doesn't have access to the request, you'll be prompted to add such user as a Watcher to it:
What checks are performed and when is the mentioned user notified?
After submitting a comment that contains @mention, the system will check if the mentioned user has access to the document. If that is the case, no additional actions are required. However, if the mentioned user does not have access, you'll be prompted to make them a Watcher, which will grant access to this document.
If access is granted and the comment is saved, a notification will be sent to the mentioned user right away – irrespective of the profile settings.
If access is not granted and the comment is saved, there won't be a notification.
If the action is cancelled and the comment is not saved, there won't be a notification.
Where is User Mentioning available?
The Mention feature is available in both the web and mobile app, in trials and with any subscription plan.
